Spent my xmas vacation here and it was a great experience. The public onsen was very relaxing with really hot water and a sauna to boot. The food was one of the best aspects of the stay, being fresh, well cooked, and superbly tasty - I especially loved the Japanese cuisine. The location was ideal, close to the station and easily accessible by taxi. Another advantage was the big room with beautiful views of the bay and city.
Some downfalls were the outdated room and the private onsen which felt small and had water that was too cool to my liking.

The stay was amazing - spacious rooms, private onsen, cold drinks in the fridge, and delicious food. Staff were friendly and arranged adjacent rooms for us. Easy to get around with taxis. Outstanding view, above and beyond service, and a great Japanese breakfast. A highly recommended experience.
Can't fault anything about it.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a luxurious 4-star hotel in Beppu. The location was perfect, as it was close to the famous 'Hell of Sea' attraction. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Although the hotel was a few kilometers away from the station, it was easy to manage with a taxi. The room was spacious and had a beautiful terrace with a stunning view of the city and bay. The highlight of my stay was definitely the onsen hot bath, which helped me relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. the hotel provided enhanced comfort and quality services, making my stay here truly unforgettable.

Friendly Staff & Great Food We had an enjoyable stay with great food and friendly staff who were always eager to help. the Japanese dinner and breakfast were delicious and plentiful, and we were happy with the rate that included breakfast. the onsen was a great way to relax after a busy day of exploring. the location was convenient enough, as a taxi ride could easily take us where we needed to go.
Outdated Room & Little Eating Options the room felt outdated, and the mattress was uncomfortable. We also found it disappointing that there were very few options for dining outside of the hotel.
